The owners of Ant Packaging have focused on their vision of being the best manufacturer of extremely high quality, highly finished plastic bottles, plastic bottle caps and plastic bottle products for the cosmetics, homeopathic and other industries in Australia and internationally.

Ant Packaging was established in 1997 by Tony Margan and John Clark formerly of Ruskin Plastics, Lismore. Tony and John have a combined successful plastic industry experience of more than 20 years. Prior to Ruskin, Tony Margan worked for Colgate-Palmolive to general manager level for over ten years.

Plastic bottle production machinery and facilities

Our new, purpose built factory at Bangalow (two hours from Brisbane) uses quality, high performance machinery. Ant envisions a position in the marketplace as a specialist supplier. To achieve this we set limits on size and growth. Ant will not be another 'Big Player', we desire to always remain a relatively small player and customer focused.

Innovation and the creation of new designs will be our specialty so that the customer can establish a real point of difference through packaging. We want to work with you from concept or idea through to final product.

• Manufacturing of plastic bottle was commenced in Australia after WWII by many small players. over the last 50 years the majority of these small players have been bought out by big companies such as Visypak, ACI Blowpak, and Plaspak
• With economic rationalism the big companies have become less flexible, less innovative and have significantly reduced their level of customer service, including product quality, to their smaller customers in particular
• Smaller customers (less than two million bottles per year) have been forced to deal with middlemen who have no control over manufacturing processes or innovation
• Consequently, the owners of Ant saw a significant demand for a small, good-quality blow moulder in the Queensland / New South Wales region
