Korsnäs AB - for Creative Packaging Solutions

Korsnäs is one of Sweden's leading forestry companies, with three production facilities: Gävle, Frövi and Rockhammar. Production capacity amounts to 1.1 million tonnes of cartonboard and paper annually, with integrated pulp production. Korsnäs develops, manufactures and sells virgin fibre-based packaging materials intended for users with exacting requirements for efficient, creative, functional packaging solutions, primarily in the consumer goods segment. Korsnäs also produces bio fuel pellets at two plants in Latvia.

The company exports approximately 90% of its products. Korsnäs employs 1,800 people, has annual sales of SEK 8,039 million (2009) and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Investment AB Kinnevik.

White Top Kraftliner

Korsnäs has four high quality liners developed to suit different applications and printing methods.

Korsnäs Classic

Korsnäs Classic is an uncoated premium white top kraftliner with high strength and formability and is developed for flexo printing. Choose Korsnäs Classic for optimal cost effectiveness combined with a good end result in terms of protection and visual appearance.

Korsnäs Décor

Korsnäs Decor is a light coated white top kraftliner, and is comparable to Korsnäs Classic in terms of strength, formability and durability but its coated surface makes it possible to further improve the printing quality and reproduction of colour images. This combines the need for protection and stability with the desire for design and attractiveness. 

Korsnäs Design

Korsnäs Design is a fully coated white top kraftliner and has a good print surface for high quality images and eye-catching effects. The reproduction of full colour images is on par with what can be achieved using virgin fibre cartonboard.

Korsnäs Supreme

Korsnäs Supreme is tailor-made for offset printing with first class reproduction of full colour images. It has been developed for sophisticated graphic design and eye catching applications. In addition, Korsnäs Supreme has an excellent convertibility and is more cost effective than most of the competitive products in the market.

Cartonboard

Our virgin fibre cartonboard is used for packaging branded products like luxury drinks, chocolate, health and beauty products, food, electronic media and household appliances.

Korsnäs Light

Korsnäs Light is the optimal choice for dry, frozen or chilled food and made to withstand rough handling without losing its attractiveness or shape. Long, unbleached fibres give this cartonboard its formability, stability and strength. These features support creative design without compromising functionality.

Korsnäs Carry

Korsnäs Carry is the optimal choice for heavier products like drinks, DIY tools, games, computers and household appliances. This strong cartonboard offers numerous options for creating and designing attractive and functional packaging with tailor-made applications.

Korsnäs White

Korsnäs White is the proper choice for working with effects like creasing, cutting, hot foil stamping and embossing, often used for products like chocolate, cosmetics, perfume, fashion, electronic media, and luxury drinks.

Sack and Kraft Paper

Strong paper material is used for a number of items such as carrier bags, sacks, handles, envelopes and sticks for lollipops and cotton buds. The broad range of Korsnäs Sack and Kraft papers will cover almost any need.

Sack Paper

Korsnäs Sack Paper is porous with high elasticity and superb tear resistance, perfect for packaging products with high demands for strength and durability. The clean, strong fibres produce a paper free from taint and odour, which is one of the primary prerequisites for food packaging.

Kraft Paper

Korsnäs Kraft Paper is extremely strong and stiff with a printing surface suitable for four colours print and image reproduction. This Kraft paper is optimal for making promotional items like carrier and shopping bags.

Liquid Packaging Board

Korsnäs has produced liquid packaging board for more than 40 years and our liquid packaging board is used by packaging manufacturers around the globe to pack, protect and transport food products ranging from wine and water to different kinds of vegetables.
