Packaging inspection technology

ThermoSecure inspects 100% packs (use by date reading, film, offset, promotional sticker placement and conformity) then gives to the encasing robot the coordinates of conform packs for encasing.

ThermoSecure inspects, identifies, provides traceability and rejects products that have contaminated seals or do not conform visual appearance specifications.

Seal inspection:

• Presence of foreign bodies in the sealing area
• Seal appearance (folds, bubbles…) depending on the packaging

Label inspection:

• Checks that there is a label, its position and orientation, its information coherence
• Reads required product information: use by date, barcode, weight/price, etc
• Checks that the labels on the top and bottom are coherent

Tray inspection:

• Dimensions and hang-nail absence
• Film offset
• Checks that the product is in the tray and its presentation in the tray

Optional

• Checks the appearance of the product depending on the packaging
• Prevents the risk of mixing up products after the initial checks that the box matches the product at the start of a batch

ThermoSecure inspects 100% packs by vision (camera, lighting and vision software), including detection of contaminated seals, empty trays and badly cut packs.

ThermoSecure also inspects pack labelling which includes labels, variable information printed on the pack (use-by date, weight, price, film etc).
