This equipment is in use by many laboratories of customers all over the world. HAND ROLLERSSample preparation is a part of the standardized testing conditions as defined in the international testing standards. All standards specify that a sample must be attached to the glass or stainless steel test plate by applying a predefined contact force through a roller at a specific speed. Hand rollers are designed so that the operator does not affect the application of the contact force. TEST PANELSFor application in the miscellaneous test methods, standardized and custom-made test panels are available. The standard materials for test panels are stainless steel and float glass. The stainless steel panels have a specific surface quality according to the test standard. Testing weights for miscellaneous machines are available as a standard from stock, or as specialty items on customer specification. They are available in the hook hanging configuration or as the clamp hanging system for thin, sensitive or plastic film testing. MANDREL TESTERThe Mandrel tester is a device for preparing labels on a curved surface at a constant weight of 2kg. The testing surfaces may be glass, stainless steel or plastic mandrels; applicable for labels on tubes and batteries. AUTOMATIC ROLL DOWN MACHINEThe automatic roll down machine is designed to automate the sample preparation. The machine can prepare two samples at the same time under standard conditions. As an option, the machine is available with adjustable speed control and adjustable rolling repetitions. (HEAVY DUTY) STATIC SHEAR TESTERThe static shear tester is used to evaluate the failure behaviour of a pressure sensitive adhesive coated material. It is designed according to FINAT test method FTM8. In this test the sample is attached to a standardized stainless steel or float glass plate. The measurement in this machine consists of an accurate time measurement for the adhesive connection to fail and an observation of the failure behaviour of the connection. The company's vertical mini tensile testers are suitable for peel and release testing at an angle of 90º or 180 º. All models have variable speeds from 100mm/min up to 1,500mm/min. ROLLING BALL TACK TESTERThe rolling ball tack tester performs a tack test according to PSTC-6. Tack is the ability to realize a bonding without applying pressure. By this test a steel ball is rolled from a slope over the adhesive surface. The rolling distance is a measure for the tack of the adhesive. HIGH SPEED RELEASE BACKING PAPER TESTERThe high-speed release tester is used to measure the force to release a backing paper from an adhesive coated material (or vice versa) at a specific speed. testing machine is available in two speed ranges (20-200m/min or 10 – 150m/min). ADHESIVE TAPE FLAP TESTERThe flap tester determines the application of adhesive tape on cardboard. This test is derived from FINAT test method FTM8 (static shear test) and simulates the behaviour of tape applied to cardboard boxes. HOT MELT SHEAR TESTER (SAFT)This SAFT tester is a shear test, which is performed under controlled temperature conditions. This installation consists of a test configuration according to FINAT standard FTM8, which is integrated in a temperature-controlled oven. The test is monitored by a PC software program, which also visualizes and manages the measuring data.
