W. Amsler Equipment (WAE) is a privately-held Canadian company, founded in 1994 by Mr. Werner Amsler. The company has earned a reputation for providing state-of-the-art, highly-efficient reheat stretch blow-molding machines and auxiliary equipment for the PET industry. All W. Amsler Equipment machines are hydraulic-free. W. Amsler Equipment provides auxiliary equipment for complete blow-molding plants and water-treatment and filling lines. These products include bottle-inspection units, air compressors, process chillers, mold temperature-control units, blow-dome spin-off trimmers, gaylord dumpers, vacuum conveyors and blowmolds. The W. Amsler Equipment production showroom houses machinery that provides the company with ongoing research and development. Clients of W. Amsler Equipment can utilise our excellent product development, mold testing and pilot production-runs services. WAE REHEAT STRETCH BLOW-MOLDING MACHINES W. Amsler Equipment was the first company to employ servo-electric mold-clamping systems on linear two-stage stretch blow molding machines. This innovation in reheat stretch blow-molding was made in 1995, and allows production of PET bottles without employing inefficient and messy hydraulic systems. The all-electric approach provides users with highly-repeatable process conditions, energy savings of up to 50% in comparison with machines with hydraulics, and savings in maintenance costs of 75% over rotary or linear hydraulic machines. Our servo-electric clamp design has undergone more then 36,000 hours of testing in our plant under production conditions. WAE’s clients have grown to appreciate the benefits that this testing has produced, for our machines can be counted on when tight production schedules have to be met. CUSTOM PET-BOTTLE PRODUCTION The increasing availability of preforms for applications other than beverages has opened up the production possibilities for the two-stage blow-molding process. W. Amsler Equipment’s custom pet-bottle production machines can produce difficult ovals, off-set necks and personal-care bottles, which only a few years ago were considered to only be constructible by single-stage machines. The custom molders we produce can now offer tooling to clients at affordable rates, making conversion from older materials such as PVC a simple matter. Custom molders can take advantage of change-over times of 20 minutes or less for bottles with common neck-finishes. Neck finishes and molds take a maximum of two hours to change over. TWO-STAGE STRETCH BLOW-MOLDING MACHINE MODELS W. Amsler Equipment offers several machine models from one to four cavities, supporting production possibilities from 50ml to 6L. W. Amsler Equipment machines provide for production cycles as low as 2.1 seconds for 500ml spring water bottles. COMPATIBILITY OF MOLDS It is easy to convert blow molds from a number of other makes of PET machines to run on W. Amsler Equipment machines. TURNKEY LIQUID-FILLING PLANTS W. Amsler Equipment is pleased to design, supply and integrate equipment for entire liquid filling plants. The company possesses strategic alliances with manufacturers of the highest-quality filling and packaging equipment, including ancillaries such as water filtration. EXTRUSION BLOW-MOLDING MACHINES W. Amsler Equipment is pleased to work in partnership with Blow Molding Technologies of Italy SRL as their agent for North America. Blow Molding Technology builds fully-electric extrusion blow-molding machines for containers from 50ml to 25L.
