Innovia Films, the leading international producer of speciality substrates, has launched a new website focusing specifically on its compostable, cellulose-based product, NatureFlex™, at www.NatureFlex.com
There are sections for consumers, designers and converters. These have been created to provide a fast track to focused information and headlines.
The homepage has a carousel reflecting the key application areas we are targeting for NatureFlex™ (such as coffee, dried foods, home and personal care). If you click on the images in this section, a pop-up text box will outline the benefits of NatureFlex™ for that market.
There is also a time-lapse video clip showing how NatureFlex™ breaks down over time in a see through compost bin (12 weeks has been condensed into just over 1 minute). This is essential viewing for anyone who doubts the material's compostability credentials!
In addition, some new case studies have been developed to promote successes or the prime advantage of using cellulose films for particular products.
Alexander van 't Riet, Innovia Films' global sales and marketing director, commented: "We decided it was time to launch a NatureFlex™-specific website to strengthen the core messages of this renewable and compostable product. We also wanted to make it easier for people to locate the information they needed. I am particularly pleased with the result and I am certain both our existing and potential customers will also."
Innovia's transparent, metallised and coloured films are sold to converters, brand-owners and end-users across the globe. They become an integral part of the packaging, labelling or overwrap solution for many of the world's best-known brands across a wide variety of everyday consumer goods, including confectionery, perfume, cheese, tea, shampoo, tobacco, soft drinks and biscuits.
NatureFlex™ films are certified to meet the American ASTM D6400, European EN13432 and Australian AS4736 standards for compostable packaging. The wood-pulp is sourced from managed plantations from referenced suppliers operating Good Forestry principals (FSC or equivalent). The renewable biobased content of NatureFlex™ films is typically 95% by weight of material according to ASTM D6866. NatureFlex™ has been confirmed as suitable for emerging 'waste-to-energy' techniques such as anaerobic digestion, aiding the diversion of organic wastes from landfill.
