Print Park: Innovation in Folding Carton Design

15 July 2009

It used to be impossible to visualize special finishing effects, such as metallic and fluorescent inks, foils, die cutting, transparent material, varnish, lamination, embossing and debossing, glitter and flitter, and even proprietary inks such as Pantone Matching System®, Eckart® and MetalFX®, at the designing phase. But with Print Park, this is now possible. We can make very realistic 3D illustrations of folding carton products which seem like the real final product.

Check real-world lighting environments and backgrounds: we can use coloured or client-supplied backgrounds to simulate a variety of in-store experiences.

Move it: you can rotate, change the viewpoint, pan, zoom, adjust the field of view, and switch between flat sheet, die-cut sheet and folded views, allowing you to see how the packaging will look when handled and moved.

Test design ideas: we can make print and finishing options visible or invisible; by viewing multiple versions at the same time, you can compare options and make choices.

Save money: we make fewer mock-ups and wet proofs.

Save time: we can instantly send snapshots and videos to our clients by e-mail or make them available on the web so projects move through the design and production cycle much more quickly.

Reduce errors and wastage: our clients can both see and evaluate the impact of substrates, inks and special finishes that will be used for the final product early in the design phase, with accuracy and ease.

Reduce misunderstandings for more satisfied clients: our clients can instantly visualize ultra-realistic images or videos of their packaging, early in the production cycle – without us having to make a mock-up or comp.
