Sheetfed printing presses

manroland's sheetfed range includes B3, B2, B1 and large format presses. With over 3,000 model variants worldwide, our ROLAND 700 HiPrint is the most flexible and versatile press within the B1 market. It will print everything from the thinnest of papers, foils, plastics, and special materials up to thick carton. Integrated automation makes short run production simple, and it will print up to 16,000 sheets per hour on longer runs. The press can be configured with double-sized, single-sheet turning cylinders, and two to twelve units in combination with coating units.

Fully automatic plate loading (APL), InlineSheeter, InlineSorter, InlineFoiler, AUPASYS logistics and quick change options are also available to deliver faster plate change-over, reduced make ready times and start-up waste, optimal sheet size selection and much more.

Ink changeover system for the folding carton industry

In an endlessly competitive marketplace, brand owners are constantly trying to differentiate their products. And, for the folding carton printer this has meant a dramatic rise in the use of spot colours, special effects and coatings, with up to 18 colours on a single packaging run now a frequent occurrence for many carton printing operations.

In response to this, manroland has introduced its pioneering, time-saving make-ready solution to the folding carton industry. DirectDrive and manroland's new ink changeover system, incorporating CMYK and two special colours to offer 90% of Pantone spot colours, together offer zero make-ready on the printing units and a flood coat on two coating units.

A UV over-primer and off-line plasma treatment on the folder-gluer also ensures no more cutting of coating blankets. The 6min make-ready incorporates simultaneous plate changing with the washing of impression and blanket cylinders and, with DirectDrive and new ink changeover system, there's no need to wash ink rollers or ink ducts.

Inline cold foil enhancement for premium packaging

manroland's InlineFoiler Prindor is a groundbreaking enhancement solution that meets head on market demands for more creative, eye-catching and vibrant retail and POS packaging.

Using the InlineFoiler Prindor, printers can cold foil and overprint a full spectrum of colours inline on a broad range of substrates in a single pass and can be combined with delicate embossing and effect or spot coatings or varnishes for maximum impact. Compatible with all presses in the ROLAND 700 B1 and 500 B2 series and able to be used with conventional or UV inks, the InlineFoiler Prindor delivers exact print and foil registration, more precisely, more cost-effectively and quicker than any hot foil process available on the market.
