Term: Flexographic Printing


Definition:

Flexographic printing describes the process commonly used in the packaging industry using a roller with a flexible rubber-like surface coated with quick-drying ink. The roller has a raised print pattern, which rolls over the substrate (such as paper, plastic or foil) to print a sharp image. Flexographic printing is used to print such things as plastic bags, drinks cartons and packaging labels.
