Germany-headquartered Bosch Packaging Technology has introduced a new filling and capping machine for injection bottles in the 2ml to 5ml format.
The new MLF 40x0 unit, based on the MLF 30x0 series, can handle up to 200 pieces per minute and provides gentle and safe container transport, claims the company.
The unit is fed from a turntable, or a transport belt, with incoming containers individually transferred to the indexing transport system via a servo-controlled segmented star wheel.
The containers are transferred by another segmented star wheel to a continuous stream and conveyed onto a transport belt or into a tray at the outfeed of the machine.
The bottom guide of the unit is lowered into a shallow angle and the container is released 5mm out of the transport cell for the transfer of the containers to the tare and gross weighing station.
The filling station of the MLF 40x0 is available in a four or eight pitch design, depending upon the volume of the containers.
The MLF 40x0 uses ’clean feed‘ sorting equipment for the loading of stoppers and caps into the sorting bowls with low loading heights to minimise the particle generation and reduce effect on the laminar flow.
