The UK’s Confederation of Paper Industries (CPI) has pledged its support for the UK Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) new packaging strategy.
CPI corrugated sector manager Andrew Barnetson said the new strategy shows the Government’s push to improve the quality of recycling emanating from UK waste streams.
The CPI supports Defra’s strategy to optimise packaging usage and the corrugated packaging industry has been working to create efficient and sustainable packaging, Barnetson said.
CPI has also welcomed Government’s decision to improve consumer education on packaging waste.
