Thermodynamix Thermoforming Specialist Services (TDX) said it is planning to invest in a second recycled polyethylene terephthalate (rPET) production line at its Team Valley, Gateshead plant in England.
The packaging recycler expects the new plastic extrusion line to increase its sales from £9m ($14m) to £16m ($24m).
The new installation will take the facility's annual capacity to 12,000t of finished products and divert nearly 13,000t of post-consumer PET bottles from landfill, the company said.
TDX, which expects the line to be operational in July, has reported a sales growth from £3m to £9m in the last three years.
The company said it is also considering installing a third line in the next two years.
