Staeger Launches Recycled PET

3 March 2010

Staeger Clear Packaging has launched a PET made from 100% recycled material for use across food and non-food applications.

Staeger said the rPET is made from 70% post-consumer waste placed in two layers of reprocessed PET waste from Staeger's own production facilities.

The UK packaging supplier is expected to receive the first of three new tube forming lines at its Coventry facility.

The Piccolo machines, which are being manufactured at its Swiss parent company, will be able to produce tubes of a diameter ranging from 30-80mm and a height of 80-200mm.
