Diamond Packaging said it has installed a UV-capable double coating line press, which is integrated with an initial flexo dispersion coater.
The US packaging firm said its eight-colour Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 105 has been designed with three modular deliveries.
The new machine joins a pressroom that includes a seven-colour Speedmaster CD 102 UV press and a six-colour Heidelberg Speedmaster CD 102 UV press with double coater.
The coating and drying units on the new press line enables the company to produce gloss applications with dispersion in addition to gold, silver or other special effects.
Speedmaster XL 105 can achieve speeds up to 18,000 sph in UV or conventional modes, the company said.
