M&As this week: Shurtape Technologies, RPC Group
US-based Shurtape Technologies has completed the acquisition of Syntac Coated Products.
Also based in the US, the target company makes specialty adhesive coated products and will be rebranded as Shurtape Specialty Coating.
The financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed.
The acquirer company provides tape solutions and supplies high-performance industrial adhesives for a number of industries.
RPC Group has announced its plans to acquire rigid plastic packaging manufacturer Letica Group, which is based in North America.
The purchase consideration for the acquisition is expected to be up to $640m, which includes an upfront payment of $490m and an additional payment of $150m based on the achievement of certain EBITDA targets over two years.
Based in the UK, the acquirer company aims to expand its footprint in the North American market following the acquisition, which is expected to be completed in March.
