India-based flexible packaging company Uflex has launched its EL-1300 extrusion lamination machine.

The machine is also designed to laminate very thin low-density polyethylene (LDPE) substrates to woven polypropylene (WPP), paper or any other packaging film.

At a maximum speed of 250m/minute, EL-1300 allows corona treater to be easily integrated into flexible packaging extrusion coating and lamination lines.

The EL-1300 has independent drives for all segments and has a chamber-type doctor blade for anchor coating.

Uflex chairman and managing director Ashok Chaturvedi said: ““From rotogravure printing cylinders, flexo-polymer plates, elastomers and sleeves to inks, adhesives, coatings and polyols used in the converting process we make them all.

"If the threat of counterfeiting is what worries you, we offer the most contemporary and technologically superior brand protection and anti-counterfeiting solutions that will keep the fake and spurious at bay.

The EL-1300 also enables motorised three-axis movement of carriages and permits T-Die with internal duckling and lip openings up to 1mm.

The machine is equipped with a lamination drum that is used to maintain an even temperature across its width.

It also offers an optional sleeve-type coating nip, an AC vector-grade motor with digital vector drives, and turret-type unwind and rewind capabilities.

Uflex currently has packaging and film manufacturing facilities in India, the UAE, Mexico, Egypt, Poland and the US.
