US-based speciality packaging firm PAC Worldwide has expanded contract packaging and fulfilment operations.

The initiative has resulted in the company’s newly formed CoPAC division, moving into an expansive production facility in Sharonville, Ohio.

The new facility is spread across 216,000ft², more than four times larger than the former location in Monroe.

“We see tremendous opportunities across all key market segments, including manufacturers, distributors, suppliers, retailers, and speciality markets.”

CoPAC president Lance Fletcher said: “We see tremendous opportunities across all key market segments, including manufacturers, distributors, suppliers, retailers, and speciality markets.”

The contract packaging and fulfilment services offered by CoPAC will include point-of-purchase displays, kitting, blister packaging, shrink-wrap and banding, warehouse/pick and pack services, distribution and inventory management.

The end-to-end solution model offered by the division allows PAC to take a customer’s concept from initial idea all the way to market, including structural and package design.

In addition to more than 11,000 rack spaces and 22 dock doors, the new facility contains an array of automated contract packaging equipment that will support greater efficiency and integrated quality processes.

The operation will initially be handled by a 55-person team, with the possibility of enhancing the workforce to up to 300 contract employees.

The decision to expand the CoPAC division was taken in view of increasing customer demand, as well as proximity to many consumer packaged goods companies.
