Resource Label Group, which is backed by private investment firm First Atlantic Capital and TPG Growth, has acquired Canadian label printing solutions provider Ingenious Packaging.
Resource Label provides pressure sensitive label, shrink sleeve and radio-frequency identification (RFID)/near field communication (NFC) technology for companies in the packaging industry.

As a custom label manufacturer, Ingenious offers flexographic, digital and offset printing capabilities and ancillary finishing assets.
The company provides pressure sensitive labels, cut and stack and in-mould labels as well as roll-fed, shrink sleeves and banding products.
It caters to clients across a wide range of industries, including food, beverage, health and beauty, spirits, nutraceutical, distribution, tobacco and pharmaceutical.

For TPG Growth, Ingenious represents the first acquisition made by Resource Label after its investment in the company.

Resource has acquired 11 companies since 2011, including the latest transaction.
The company provides custom label design and printing services with operations in locations across the US and Canada.
