UK-based company British American Tobacco’s IT hiring rose 86.7% in August 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 62.6% in August 2021 when compared with July 2021.
IT jobs claimed a 6.44% share in the company’s total hiring activity in August 2021, and recorded a 1.5% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops British American Tobacco IT hiring in August 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by British American Tobacco, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 46.96% in August 2021, and an 117.95% rise over July 2021, while Computer and Information Research Scientists claimed a share of 17.68% in August 2021, and registered growth of 28%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 16.57% in August 2021, a 275% rise from July 2021.
Europe drives IT hiring at British American Tobacco
Europe emerged as the leading region in the global packaging IT hiring activity in August 2021 with a 35.91% share, which marked a 91.18% rise over the previous month.
Asia-Pacific stood next with 30.39%, registering a 103.7% month-on-month growth. North America was the third leading region with a 27.07% share and a 145% rise over July 2021.
In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 4.97% and a month-on-month flat growth. Middle East & Africa stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 1.66%, registering a 50% rise over the previous month.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s packaging industry IT hiring activity with a 17.68% share in August 2021, a 166.67% growth over July 2021. Malaysia featured next with a 17.13% share, up 47.62% over the previous month. Poland recorded a 12.15% share, an increase of 266.67% compared with July 2021.
Junior Level jobs lead British American Tobacco IT hiring activity in August 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 58.01%, up by 162.5% from July 2021. Mid Level positions with a 25.97% share, a growth of 67.86% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 16.02% share, up 93.33% over July 2021.
