China’s packaging industry registered a 19.0% drop in IT hiring activity in August 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 32.09% in August 2021 when compared with July 2021.
Out of the packaging industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.92% share in August 2021, recording an increase of 1.15% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in China’s packaging industry’s IT recruitment activity in August 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s packaging industry in August 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 51.16% in August 2021, registering a 21.43% decline over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 23.26% share, an increase of 150% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 16.28%, registering a 36.36% decline from July 2021.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 9.3%, up 300% over the previous month.
Top five packaging companies in China’s IT recruitment activity in August 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 140% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s packaging industry during August 2021 over July 2021.
Lego posted 9 IT jobs in August 2021 and registered a rise of 125% over the previous month, followed by L’Oreal with 5 jobs and a flat growth. The Coca-Cola with 4 IT jobs and Pernod Ricard with 3 jobs, recorded a 300% flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Avery Dennison recorded a decline of 40% with 3 job postings during August 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 79.07%, up by 13.33% from July 2021. Mid Level positions with an 18.6% share, registered an increase of 33.33% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 2.33% share, down 90.91% over July 2021.
