Israel Food and Agricultural Import Regulations and Standards

This white paper, published by the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service, explains the labelling and marking requirements of Israel, and highlights new regulations regarding the use and importation of food and food additives.

The paper notes that all imports into Israel must have a label indicating the country of origin, the name and address of the producer, Israeli importer, contents, and weight and volume in metric units.

The USDA says that consumer goods, including fertilisers, insecticides, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, some food products, seeds and alcoholic beverages, need specific labelling regulations.
