Ardagh Group has signed a long-term supply agreement to produce wine bottles for Oliver Winery at its glass manufacturing facility in Fishers, Indiana, US.

The American winery was looking to buy glass from a local manufacturer, with its base in Bloomington, Indiana, situated just 65 miles south of the Ardagh facility.

As part of the deal, Ardagh will use the winery’s existing design assets to produce new bottles that have a modern look and feel. The bottles will be manufactured in the US.

Ardagh Group’s North America glass division chief commercial officer John T Shaddox said: “Ardagh is pleased to partner with Oliver Winery – an icon in the Hoosier state. We are passionate about the success of the wine industry across the country and are proud to support wineries with glass wine bottles made right here in the US.”

The bottling firm produces the glass wine bottles from its glass manufacturing facilities in North America’s major wine-producing regions.

Ardagh claims that glass wine bottles preserve the taste of the product, garner an appeal on store shelves and are 100% endlessly recyclable.
