Bosch Packaging Technology is set to introduce its new bar production system at this year’s Interpack event to be held in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Capable of producing up to 1,500 bars per minute, the new integrated Sigpack FIT product infeed system is designed to enable manufacturers to meet their demands for increased productivity, flexibility and quality.

The Sigpack FIT system features linear motor technology and allows push-button format changes and very fast, non-contact product feeding.

It also includes Sigpack HRM flow wrapper that can wrap up to 150m of film in a minute, and Sigpack PFI feeding module that uses linear motor technology.

The Sigpack PFI feeding module allows products to be transferred from flow wrappers into the Sigpack TTM top load cartoner, which can form, load and close up to 150 cartons per minute.

Bosch Packaging Technology product manager Josua Schwab said: “The rising number of bar variations requires highly flexible production machinery with short changeover times.

According to Bosch, manufacturers can use its single-source solution to optimise production of primary and secondary packaging.

The company also noted that the new integrated bar production features its Industry 4.0 solutions, which support operators in their daily work.

At Interpack 2017, Bosch will also present its Bosch Contiline system, which provides services across the entire production process, from mixing, slab forming, pre-cooling, lengthwise cutting and fanning out bars to crosswise cutting, coating and final cooling.
