Crown Aerosols & Specialty Packaging Europe has produced a new round-to-square, limited-edition whisky tin for Chivas Regal’s Generosity: Amplified initiative.

Designed by Chivas in partnership with LSTN Sound, the tin is round at the top and gradually transforms into a square shape at its base.

Crown’s in-house design team in the UK has designed music-themed graphics to be printed on the surface of the containers.

An embossing technique has also been used in certain areas to improve the feel of the package.

Chivas will donate a percentage of the profit from each pair of Generosity: Amplified headphones and limited edition tin to Starkey Hearing Foundation, a charity that has already provided more than 1.8 million hearing aids and care to people in need.

"The round-to-square tin is a result of the hard work of both sides, and we could not be happier with the outcome."

Chivas Regal design manager Katy Buchan said: “This special edition series celebrates the commitment to substance and style that are the hallmarks of any craftsperson and complements the values on which the Chivas Regal brand was built.

“It has been a pleasure to work with a packaging supplier like Crown that shares our passion for creating fresh and exciting designs that will have an impact with consumers.

“The round-to-square tin is a result of the hard work of both sides, and we could not be happier with the outcome.”

Earlier this month, Crown Holdings European and Middle East business unit took part in the BrauBeviale event held in Germany.

At the event, the company exhibited its packaging portfolio to help global beverage brands improve their consumer engagement and interaction initiatives.
