US-based apparel company PVH has joined the How2Recycle programme, an initiative that creates labels for recycling purposes.

PVH is the owner of multiple clothing brands, including Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Van Heusen, Speedo, Warner’s, and IZOD.

PVH Corporate Responsibility group vice-president Marissa Pagnani-McGowan said: “As a global apparel company, we recognise that we have a responsibility to reduce waste, and one key way to do so is by minimising our packaging and making it recyclable.

“How2Recycle labels will make it easier for our consumers to understand how to discard unwanted items in the most sustainable way possible.”

The How2Recycle Label is a US-based standardised labelling system, which provides recycling instructions to consumers. It also helps in reducing confusion among the customers on how to recycle the packaging of the product after use.
