US-based Royal Docks Brewing has installed G1 multi-packing applicator and brand-defining coloured carriers from WaveGrip to increase its packaged beer production.
According to the beverage maker, the G1 applicator has the capacity to produce 100 cans-per-minute (cpm) and to pack a full range of can sizes.

The company is currently producing more than 50cpm, consistently using the G1 applicator in a move to align with the rest of the canning line and reduce manpower.
Royal Docks Brewing brewmaster Dave Sutula said: “Thanks to our PS Angelus Filler, we could be running at 60cpm, well within the 100cpm limit of the G1.
“Currently, WaveGrip is handling our requirements so smoothly at 52, that I have no doubt it could handle up to 60.
“We’re on track to be a 4200-barrel brewery in the next few months and thanks to the G1 and our new canning line, we think 80% of our output will be packaged products.”

Royal Docks is also using the WaveGrip Colours range such as Fury Red carrier to complement its brewery branding.

Based in Canton, Ohio, Royal Docks produces craft beer using British pub culture. The brewery started its own canning line last year following the end of its partnership with a canning company.
