German company Schreiner MediPharm has developed three new labels at various safety levels to protect sensitive medicines from UV irradiation and light.

According to the company, the labels can protect liquid substances in transparent glass containers and ensure the original condition of the medicine.

The speciality labels are available in three safety levels. Level 1 labels feature a transparent inspection window with UV protection while Level 2 labels contain a semi-transparent, coloured window and a re-closable inspection window to protect against UV rays and blue light.

Level 3 labels include an opaque material for complete light protection as well as an integrated re-closable inspection window to offer a view of the container content.

“The company noted that the three label concepts adapt to the specific requirements of the respective substance, individual containers, along with UV and light conditions.”
