Toray Plastics (America) has launched five new Torayfan white-pigmented, metallised, biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) films for consumer product goods companies and converters.

Available in different heat-seal strengths, the Torayfan MPX4, Torayfan MP5H, Torayfan MPHX5, Torayfan PCP1 and Torayfan PCP5 films include both sealable and non-sealable versions.

MPX4 is a heat-sealable barrier web that offers a high moisture and oxygen barrier, a hot tack, and a wide seal range, while MP5H features high seal strength and hermeticity.

MPHX5 is an ultra-high-barrier coated white metallised film with increased seal strength and hermeticity, a hot tack, and a wide seal range.

PCP1 and PCP5 are opposite-side corona-treated films suitable for cold-seal applications. They are claimed to offer high anchorage of cold seal adhesives, bonding in extrusion and adhesive laminations, and no crazing.

End users can use the Torayfan MPX4, MP5H, MPHX5 and PCP5 films with gas-flushed applications. The portfolio also runs on horizontal form fill seal (HFFS) and vertical form fill seal (VFFS) machines.
