US-based packaging solution provider TricorBraun has boosted its presence in Eastern Canada by acquiring rigid packaging distributor RODA Packaging.
Based in Quebec, Canada, RODA specialises in the chemicals, sealants and adhesives markets, as well as serving the nutraceuticals, juices, dry condiments and spices sectors.

As part of the deal, TricorBraun will also acquire Rada Industries, which has been owned by RODA since 2019.
The financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed.
TricorBraun president and CEO Court Carruthers said: “Our acquisition of RODA Packaging continues our long track record of growth in Canada.
“We are very impressed by the strong company Stéphan Berthiaume and his team have built, and with our combined expertise, we will serve the needs of Quebec-based businesses along with the customers we support across North America. We are excited to welcome RODA to the TricorBraun family.”

Once the deal is completed, RODA will become part of TricorBraun Canada and will operate as RODA, a TricorBraun company.
All RODA team members, including Berthiaume, will continue to serve the company from its existing locations in Quebec.
This acquisition will be TricorBraun’s tenth in the last four years, and its first under the ownership of Ares Management and Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board.
In August, the company acquired US-based packaging distributor Price Container and Packaging, and in 2019, it bought flexible packaging firm Pacific Bag.
