New research conducted by the company in July revealed that around 30% of parcels dispatched by UK online retailers could be unfit for purpose.

Around 10% of packaged content is damaged due to bad packaging.

The study also found that 84% of the packages were judged to be clean, while 80% were dry, 15% were dented, 8% were crushed, and 8% were ripped.

According to the research, 4% of the packages sent by online retailers appeared to have been opened or tampered with during transit.
