Luxembourg-based United Caps is set to debut its new bi-injection moulding and in-mould labelling solutions at the Interpack 2017 event to be held in Düsseldorf, Germany, next month.

The new sales-promoting packaging solution is designed for use in plastic caps and closures for the food and drink industry.

At Interpack 2017, United Caps will also present the prototypes of the labelling solution, which was manufactured with an improved bi-injection process.

In addition, the company will display its new 3gm double-flow precision pouring closure solution for edible oils and vinegar bottles at the event.

The company’s new customer-specific solution for the French bottling firm Wattwiller will also be exhibited at Interpack 2017.

United Caps CEO Benoît Henckes said: “In 2017 and specifically for Interpack, we want to write a whole new chapter in our success story.

“To this end, we are not only continually improving our product lines, but we are constantly reviewing and optimising production processes for highly efficient, innovative and sustainable production.”

Furthermore, the company is planning to disclose its upcoming global expansion plans at the Interpack event.

The announcement includes a planned investment in new production capacities in Malaysia.

"This investment is due to the high demand for high-quality caps and closures we are seeing in that region."

Henke added: “We are excited to be able to bring this information to our Southeast Asian customers.

“This investment is due to the high demand for high-quality caps and closures we are seeing in that region and aligns with our ‘Close to You’ strategy.”

United Caps also noted that after its strategic reorientation in 2015, the company has started expanding its portfolio of standard products under the United Caps brand.

The company has also acquired a number of major customers to boost its business.
