Pre-consumer plastic will no longer count towards the UK’s 30% recycled-content threshold for Packaging Tax from April 2027.
The two companies have combined revenue of approximately €130m ($145.4m).
The deal will be led by Atlantic Ridge, who will collaborate with current leadership on growth of the packaging manufacturer.
When completed, the plant will have an annual production ceiling of eight billion units.
