Adhesive materials manufacturer and distributor Avery Dennison has launched its portfolio of specialised pressure-sensitive materials to help converters with unique-application labels.

According to the US-based company, the first Select Solutions portfolio refracts light and creates optical effects using a multi-layered coating. The optical effects created by the film and paper materials include iridescent and prismatic visuals.

The portfolio includes semi-conformable and squeezable label materials for a range of containers used in various market segments. These include food, beverage, wine, spirits, home and personal care containers.

Avery Dennison Label and Packaging Materials - North America prime papers director David Collins said that products can attract consumers at the point of purchase by integrating holographic label materials with standard packaging.

"The first Select Solutions portfolio is a collection of holographic label materials, which is ideal for commemorative products, seasonal packaging or instances where brand owners want to communicate a product's premium nature and increase its shelf appeal."
