Bosch Packaging Technology is ready to launch the new SVI 2600 vertical form, fill and seal (VFFS) machine in North America.
The machine is designed to integrate with the customers' existing equipment. It serves a range of packaging applications, including confectionery, snacks, grains and other food and non-food products.
Bosch has incorporated the same technology employed on higher-end baggers, such as servo-driven cross-sealing units, vacuum belts and Bosch/Beckhoff controls. Thes aid seal precision with exact sealing times, ensure package integrity and deliver operations with minimum machine wear, providing advantages to manufacturers working with a wide range of films.
Bosch Packaging Technology product and marketing manager Paul Garms said large manufacturers are seeking ways to cost-effectively test the market as product life cycles are becoming shorter.
"Our new SVI 2600 entry-level solution allows them to do so, while also meeting the needs of small to mid-sized businesses to increase production," Garms added.
The VFFS machine can produce pillow, gusseted, and block-bottom bags at rates up to 100 bags per minute.
The company will exhibit the SVI 2600 at Pack Expo Las Vegas 2013 from 23 to 25 September in Nevada, US.
