Covering materials manufacturer and marketer FiberMark has launched a new folding carton products portfolio to address the design demands of the spirits packaging market.
The company claims that its new durable dyed-through board materials offer deep colour saturation that gets rid of white edges in the finished product.
The portfolio includes Grafton, a premium board with an uncoated vellum finish; Dorset, a premium board with a matte pigment-coated finish; and Metal-X and Shimmer (K-Series), luxury board products with decorative coatings.
Available in various custom colours, including custom colour duplex solutions, and in a variety of embossed patterns, the boards are FSC-certified, and made in the US.
The carton products include recycled content. They are offered in 12pt, 18pt and 26pt calipers, providing an alternative to white solid bleached board.
The boards also have better scoring, folding and gluing properties as well as resistance to cracking and scuffing.
FiberMark new business development senior vice-president Dr Robert Conforti said that the company’s new portfolio of paperboard products will bring classy visual appeal combined with better performance to luxury wine and spirits brands.
