Business application software provider Infor has introduced its new integrated ERP system for printing and packaging, which includes specialised built-in capabilities to manage the printing and packaging lifecycle.
According to the company, the new vertical suite provides faster deployments and fewer modifications.
Infor ERP marketing director Mark Humphlett said organisations need to streamline operations and increase their ability to access and analyse data in order to tackle competition and meet consumer demand.
"Infor understands the niche printing and packaging market, and developed this specialized application as a result of in-depth conversations and knowledge sharing with customers who wanted access to company-wide analytics and reporting tools in order to achieve the high efficiency necessary to successfully navigate the complexity and market pressures of the industry today," Humphlett said.
The ERP solution combines the advantages of full visibility, process control and financial management with the needs of creating better printing quotes and estimating resource needs.
The system can also control day-to-day activities and enable long-term analysis, planning and strategic growth.
The flexible solution, which is available as either an on-premise solution or cloud-based deployment, can scale to meet many business expansion needs such as the addition of a warehouse, new plant or new division.
Due to the integration between the manufacturing and printing processes and business operations, the data provided by the software is reliable.
The new application delivers a speedier quoting process, improved workflow and integration, enhanced demand planning and increased productivity.
