UK-based multi-material packaging manufacturer Linpac Packaging has added new products to its Freshware range for the sweet and savoury food sector.
The company has developed Vertiwrap, a hinged box for wraps and tortillas. The packaging is made from clear recycled polyethylene terephthalate (rPET) which enables shoppers to view the contents clearly.
Suitable for two small wraps, the box is designed to protect food while retaining its freshness.
Linpac has also introduced a line of new paper bags for shops and bakeries. Available in different sizes and with or without windows, the bags can keep bakery items fresh and crispy.
The bags come pre-made or on the reel for use with in-house automatic bagging machinery.
The company has also manufactured a line of rPET-based individual and twin portion-size LeanBake packs for baked confectionery such as gateaux, cakes, pastries, slices, biscuits and doughnuts.
Linpac Packaging vice president Joanna Stephenson said: "The Freshware range has been designed and developed to support our customers' convenience as well as sustainability strategy and is manufactured with between 50% and 95% post consumer recyclate to minimise the carbon footprint of our products."
