Packaging design and sourcing company New Vision Packaging has collaborated with confectionery manufacturer Cadbury to design a new box to accommodate a 800g chocolate pumpkin.

The new chocolate creation resides in an outer carton made from a heavy-duty Kraft board, to strengthen the product.

Printed from six colours and with a satin varnish, the carton features three new pumpkin-shaped biodegradable plastic windows.

The carton, which also has a carry handle top to ensure that it can be transported by the consumer safely, features artwork created by brand design agency We Are Pure.

New Vision Packaging managing director Stephen Shortland said that the company was approaching its third year of partnership with Cadbury World.

"Christmas and Easter are inevitably the key times of the year when it comes to working on confectionery products, so it's good to see brands exploring opportunities to coincide with other annual events too," Shortland said.

The new chocolate pumpkin packaging is being sold at the Cadbury World shop in Birmingham, UK.

New Vision is an approved supplier to all of the UK's major retailers and supplies packaging to industry brands such as Thorntons, Waitrose, Elizabeth Shaw and Burnt Sugar.
