Indian soft drinks firm Parle Agro has partnered with Swedish food processing and packaging solutions provider Tetra Pak to develop 250ml Tetra Brik Aseptic Edge bottle packs for its Frooti and Appy beverages.
Parle Agro uses six-layer tamper-evident Tetra Pak packaging for its drinks in order to keep them sealed from oxygen, light and bacteria. Fitted with a fully resealable screwcap, the paper-based bottle packs can be recycled into several products, including stationary and furniture.
Tetra Pak South Asia Markets managing director Kandarp Singh said the new packaging for Parle Agro beverages will provide customers with convenience drinking experience.
"We are proud to build on our partnership with Parle Agro and are certain that the new packaging format will help strengthen the positioning of their brands," Singh said.
Parle Agro had adopted the Tetra Classic Aseptic carton for its Frooti beverages in 2004. It will initially launch its Frooti and Appy soft drinks in new packs in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and Jammu and Kashmir states.
