Lid and dispensing systems manufacturer and distributor and TriMas subsidiary Rieke has announced plans to expand its operations in Hamilton, Indiana.
The US-based firm will invest $7.5m to expand the capacity and capabilities of its existing 73,360ft² facility while better serving its customers and adding 15 new jobs by 2016.
Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) president Eric Doden said that companies choose to remain in Indiana due to its skilled workforce and pro-growth policies.
"With a solid foundation in low taxes and limited red tape, Indiana's business climate is ripe for companies looking to achieve an extra competitive edge," Doden added.
IEDC offered up to $150,000 in training grants to the packaging firm based on the company's job creation plans. The town of Hamilton approved additional tax abatement at the request of the Steuben County Economic Development Corporation.
Rieke president Lynn Brooks said that the quality of the Indiana workforce contributes to the company's success.
"Rieke continues to expand into new markets while developing a robust programme that meets our customers' innovative demands," Brooks added.
Rieke operates manufacturing facilities across the US and around the world, including in Germany, China, Mexico and the UK. The company's lid and dispensing systems are designed to improve customers' ability to store, transport, process and dispense products.
