Semper/Exeter Paper Company has announced a new flexible packaging films division, scheduled for launch in September.
Products in the custom-made packaging line may include green bags, boxes, food containers, trays and clamshells as well as other paper and plastic packaging alternatives.
The company also signed an agreement with Evert-Fresh as the master supplier and master distributor of the company’s products.
Evert-Fresh products are designed to extend the shelf life of fresh produce including fruit, vegetables and freshly cut flowers.
Semper/Exeter said that the agreement will bring a diverse offering to growers, packers, distributors and supermarkets while fulfilling the goal of improved shelf life and reduced food loss.
The agreement goal is to cut down food and revenue losses, and offer fresher food to consumers, and a better alternative to store, package and ship fresh produce.
Semper/Exeter also distributes and converts plastics and films and since 1948 has counseled printers, box makers, tube winders, paper retailers and other distributors on finding the best packaging products at competitive prices.
Evert Fresh creates products that promote the healthy handling and storage of fresh food. The company also designs and creates flexible packaging solutions.
