UK’s PFF Packaging Group secures BRC grade AA certification for Washington site

UK-based thermoformed plastic food packaging provider PFF Packaging Group has won grade AA certification from British Retail Consortium (BRC) for its manufacturing site in Washington, Tyne & Wear.

The 100,000ft² site, which earlier received BRC grade A certification, currently houses the company’s new £1m Innovation Centre.

The newly awarded certification has been provided under the revised issue five of the BRC standard for packaging and packaging materials, verifying the achievement of more rigorous requirements fulfilled by the Washington site.

In August, the company won a BRC Grade AA certification for its manufacturing site in Keighley, West Yorkshire, UK.

The company also noted that the certification has reassured the safety of its products and the environments under which they are produced.

PFF Packaging currently provides innovative and sustainable packaging solutions for food manufacturers and retailers in UK.

Established in 1993, the company employs a total of 240 people at its sites in the UK.
