Pharmaceutical packaging company Millmount Healthcare has completed its deal with Canada-based pharmaceutical contract packaging company Apotex.
The deal was announced during the Enterprise Ireland trade mission to Canada led by the minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton.

Millmount Healthcare managing director and founder Pascal Keogh said the deal with Apotex marks the company’s first move outside of the European market.
"Although we are well accustomed to dealing with non-European pharmaceutical companies, their business model has always been centred around using Millmount Healthcare as a springboard into Europe, with product sent to our facilities for packaging and release (by Millmount) to other EU destinations," Keogh said.
Ireland-based Millmount has developed a packaging facility in Navan, County Meath, Ireland, which specialises in small-series runs of products.
According to the firm, it is expected that local enterprise will gain from the new business generated, as Millmount intends to source all packaging materials from local suppliers.

Millmount’s latest announcement gives the company its first foothold in the important market.
