Tetra Brik Aseptic 1000 Mid LightCap 24

Tetra Pak has announced the launch of its new carton packaging, Tetra Brik Aseptic 1000 Mid LightCap 24, which features the company’s lowest cost screw-cap.

The new carton packaging has a two-step opening with barrier protection and delivers increased consumer functionality with improved pouring capabilities.

According to the Swiss food packaging and processing company, the LightCap 24 ensures safety and keeps the contents inside for even oxygen sensitive drinks, such as value added milk, juices and nectars, still drinks and wine, fresh for longer.

The carton packaging features a pull ring, which show if has been previously opened, and provides security for consumers.

"In an increasingly competitive market, our customers value having the choice and the flexibility to meet the changing demands of consumers in different markets while keeping efficiency up and costs down."

With a combination of pre-laminated hole (PLH) and direct injection moulding concept (DIMC) technologies, the LightCap 24 offers improved pouring functionality to the customers while using fewer raw materials.

The new carton package meets the levels for pallet efficiency set by the Tetra Brik Aseptic 1000 Base perforation, and allows customers to distribute similar number of litres per pallet while adding functionality for the consumer through the new closure addition.
