The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 15.14% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.

Out of the packaging industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 6.05% share in July 2022, recording a decrease of 0.3% over the last three-month average share.

1) Computer and Information Analysts recorded a share of 32.5% in July 2022, registering a 225% growth over the previous month.

2) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers claimed a 30% share, a decrease of 64.71% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 17.5%, registering a 50% decline from June 2022.

4) Database and Network Administrators and Architects captured a share of 12.5%, down 16.67% over the previous month.

Top five packaging companies in Switzerland’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 19.44% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Switzerland’s packaging industry during July 2022 over June 2022.

The Swatch Group posted 10 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a drop of 54.55% over the previous month, followed by Fielmann with 6 jobs and a flat growth. V-ZUG with 5 IT jobs and Amcor with 4 jobs, recorded a 400% growth and a 66.67% decrease, respectively, while VF recorded an increase of 300% with 4 job postings during July 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 57.5%, down by 58.18% from June 2022. Entry Level positions with a 32.5% share, registered an increase of 160% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 10% share, flat growth over June 2022.
