The investment is intended to help expedite AGP–Africa’s goal to decarbonise the glass production process.
The deal was originally announced in April this year.
The acquisition is intended to expand Berlin Packaging's market coverage in Iberia.
The acquisition is Berlin Packaging’s second in North America and its fourth worldwide so far this year.
This acquisition marks the second for Berlin Packaging in the EMEA region in 2022.
The facility is expected to start production in the first half of 2024 and create nearly 300 jobs.
The company suspended production at the site in February, but has continued to pay all its employees.
