The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 9.39% in June 2022 when compared with May 2022.

Out of the packaging industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 2.65% share in June 2022, recording an increase of 0.15% over the last three-month average share.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 33.36% in June 2022, registering a 17.67% decline over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 23.12% share, a decrease of 25.66% over the previous month.

3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 20.58%, registering a 1.3% decline from May 2022.

4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 11.15%, down 15.17% over the previous month.

Top five packaging companies in the US’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 5.44% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s packaging industry during June 2022 over May 2022.

Ball posted 122 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered a rise of 15.09% over the previous month, followed by The J. R. Simplot with 99 jobs and an 80% growth. Carrier Global with 60 IT jobs and PepsiCo with 47 jobs, recorded a 28.57% decline and a 32.86% decrease, respectively, while Haier Group recorded an increase of 17.65% with 40 job postings during June 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 59.56%, down by 17.67% from May 2022. Mid Level positions with a 20.04% share, registered a decline of 18.15% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 18.77% share, down 4.61% over May 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.63%, recording a month-on-month decline of 10%.
