This recognition underscores ALPLA’s commitment to sustainability and the effectiveness of its internal developments in recent years. 

After experiencing a decline in its EcoVadis score over the past two years, ALPLA has made significant strides to enhance its sustainability practices, culminating in the recent gold medal award.  

ALPLA sustainability head Miklos Toth said: “This is the clear result of structured and continuous cross-functional collaboration within ALPLA, driving the sustainability agenda in terms of policy development, target setting, implementation of relevant actions and reporting.”  

The company’s comprehensive approach to sustainability has reportedly been a collective effort, with various departments contributing to the successful outcome of this year’s assessment.

These ratings serve as a benchmark for presenting sustainability practices and identifying areas for improvement across multiple domains, including climate change, water and waste management, labour and human rights, business ethics, and sustainable procurement.
