Paper packaging solutions distributor Antalis has unveiled a new Smart Packaging Centre at its headquarters in Coalville, North West Leicestershire, England to support bespoke packaging solutions and services.

Smart Packaging Centre is a design lab and solutions centre where the company’s designers will conduct a comprehensive review of their packaging requirements on-site to solve the logistical challenges faced by customers.

The centre joins Antalis’ European network of design facilities featuring 15 packaging designers across its labs in France, Poland and Germany.

“By hand-picking the latest innovations and machinery in packaging, we have drastically cut the time it takes to design, manufacture and test packaging.”

Businesses can visit the centre to interact with the company’s designers to create new packaging designs and live samples for their products.

The designers will then test and modify these samples according to clients’ requirements at a one-stop packaging workshop in the centre.

Antalis packaging technologist Jason Poxon said: “Recognising the rising challenges facing our customers, particularly those in the e-commerce, logistics and manufacturing industries, who are under immense time and cost pressures, we’ve invested heavily in creating the new Smart Packaging Centre to address this.
