US-based division of Ardagh Group, Ardagh North American Glass, has agreed to produce bottles for Copper Cane Wines & Provisions in the US.

As part of a long-term supply agreement, Ardagh will supply wine bottles for the 750ml category.

The bottle production will start with Copper Cane Wines’ 2019 Vintage Series.

Ardagh’s manufacturing facility in Madera, California will be responsible for this contract.

Copper Cane Wines & Provisions owner Joseph Wagner said: “We are thrilled to be partnering with Ardagh Group on our wine bottles. As a fifth-generation winemaker born and raised in Napa, I take pride in the land that I come from and buying our glass bottles from a domestic package supplier is important to me.

“At Copper Cane Wines & Provisions, we are always striving to be more sustainable in the supply chain and we look forward to continuing that mission with Ardagh glass bottles.”

Ardagh has 56 metal and glass production facilities in 12 countries. It produces 100% recyclable glass bottles in the US.

Last month, Ardagh North American Glass expanded its portfolio with the introduction of six new glass wine bottle designs with three texture variants.

Ardagh’s North American Glass business unit chief commercial officer John Shaddox said: “Ardagh is passionate about working with Copper Cane Wines & Provisions to meet their sustainability initiatives by supporting the American economy with environmentally-friendly glass bottles that are made in the US.”

In December last year, Ardagh North America Glass entered into a long-term supply agreement with US-based St Julian Winery for glass wine bottles.
